Canceling an order:
If you would like to cancel your order, please inform us as soon as possible. As long as your products have not been made, you will receive the full refund.
Changing an order:
If you would like to change your specifications on the customization, you will be advised of the additional charges for the changes and can decide whether to proceed. If you cancel your order after Chijen Design has started production, you will forfeit half of the price of the items you have paid for. If your order has been completed, then no changes can be made and no refund will be issued.
Returns:
If the customized items you have received were not made to your specifications, or if the items were defective, you can return the items for up to 30 days from the date you received them and get a full refund. Your shipping cost will be added to your refund.
There is no return on any customized items that were made to your specifications and/or are not defective.
If you are not satisfied with your imported bag purchase, you can return them as long as they are in the same condition you received them in. However, there will be 15% restocking fee deducted from your refund. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs.
All returns must be unused and in the same condition that you received them in. Your items need to be in the original packaging and be accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds:
Once we receive your items, we will inspect them and notify you that we have received your returned items. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.

I designed this bag for my children’s 4th and 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Lisa Shigemasa. My kids are two grades apart so we had her for 4 years. When my youngest graduated from the school, I wanted to make her a bag that reflected her style and heritage as a thank you present. She was one of my children’s favorite teachers. She took the time and efforts to pay individualized attention to her students. She was able to challenge her students not only to achieve academic success but also in character development. Though she was very strict, she was also very kind and respectful. My son used to talk back to me when I was mad at him by saying Mrs. Shigemasa would not have said it like that! Lisa was able to instill the love of learning in my kids. As a result, they loved going to school! While I was struggling with breast cancer when my daughter was in 5th grade, she would often pulled my daughter aside to make sure she was ok. I would have named the bag after her but the usual humble Lisa rather the bag be named after her beloved dog Kiku, which means chrysanthemum in Japanese.
Like all my bags, this bag is sewn by hand, a stitch at a time. It is super time consuming. People thought I was crazy. But the end result is a unique and beautiful product that is strong and will not fall apart, just like what St. Catherine of Siena had said, “Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring.” So I present this bag with pride. Hope you will cherish it.
